Errors from running the installer to update the CLI binary. Run atlanai doctor before and after updating to establish a baseline and confirm the update succeeded.

atlanai not found after the update

The binary is installed but the terminal does not find it.

Cause

The PATH was not refreshed after the installer replaced the binary. The existing terminal session still points to the previous location or cache.

Solution

Reload the shell environment to pick up the updated binary location.
  1. Open a new terminal window, or run source ~/.zshrc (or your shell’s equivalent).

atlanai doctor reports new failures after updating

The health check passes before the update but fails after it.

Cause

The update introduced a regression in the installed runtime.

Solution

Roll back to the previous version and confirm the rollback succeeded.
  1. Run atlanai trace runtime rollback to restore the previous runtime version.
  2. Run atlanai doctor to confirm the rollback succeeded before reporting the issue.

Installer fails mid-run

The installer stops before completing the update.

Cause

The download was interrupted, or the installer lacks write permission to the install directory.

Solution

Retry the installer and investigate if the failure repeats.
  1. Rerun the installer.
  2. If the failure repeats, check network connectivity and confirm the install directory is writable by the current user.
