Use these commands to review published skills, inspect their version history, roll back to a prior version when a release introduces problems, or archive skills that are no longer needed. Start with read-only commands to confirm workspace and skill state before taking any action.

Before you start

  • Confirm the CLI is installed and atlanai doctor passes. See Install atlanai CLI.
  • Authenticate and confirm atlanai auth status shows the expected account.
  • Confirm an active workspace context is set by running atlanai context show.
  • Have at least one published skill in the workspace to inspect. To publish a skill, see Validate and publish skill.

List and inspect

  • List skills: Returns skills in the active workspace. Adjust --limit to cap the number of results returned.
  • Inspect skill: Shows the full record for a single skill, including its current status, metadata, and version ordinal.

View history

Version history shows every published version in chronological order. Action run history shows governance and security scan results for a skill.
  • View version history: Lists all published versions of the skill.
  • View action runs: Shows governance and security scan action runs for this skill.

Roll back

Rollback appends a new version that matches the content of a prior version — it does not rewrite history. Always run the dry-run first to confirm the rollback target and the resulting version ordinal before applying it.
  • Preview rollback: Shows what rollback to a specific version does, including the target version content and the new version number that results.
  • Execute rollback: Applies the rollback. Confirm the skill ID and target version before accepting the prompt.

Approve and archive

skill approve unblocks a skill that a review gate has blocked. skill delete archives the skill — it removes the skill from default discovery but does not erase its version history. Both commands ask for confirmation before they act.

Troubleshooting

For errors from skill list, skill rollback, or approve and archive commands, see Skill operation errors.

Next steps

  • Manage packages: Install and wire skill dependencies for a repository-managed coding agent.
