Use skills with Codex

Use Codex to find and inspect Atlan skills while you work in a repository. The current skill profile does not offer a direct Open in Codex handoff.

Before you start

Connect Codex to Atlan and confirm that your identity can access the workspace where the skill lives. See Codex for MCP setup and connection checks.

Find the skill

1. Start Codex in the repository where you are working.
2. Ask Codex to find or inspect the skill by name.
3. Review the skill’s purpose, source, and version against its Atlan profile.
4. Use the skill only after you have confirmed that it fits the current task.

Codex can use only the Atlan tools available to your authenticated identity and workspace. A connected server does not guarantee that every skill or Registry tool is available.
