Use this flow when you have reviewed a skill in Atlan and want to hand it to Claude Code or Claude Desktop for the current task. It starts with one selected skill; it does not configure an Atlan MCP connection.

Before you start

Confirm the skill’s workspace, source, and live version in Atlan. Install the Claude client you plan to use before you continue.
Open the skill
  1. Open the skill profile in Atlan.
  2. Select Open in.
  3. Choose Open in Claude Code.
  4. Review the prefilled prompt in Claude Code before you continue.
The handoff pre-populates a prompt for the selected skill. It does not send the prompt automatically or prove that Claude Code installed or ran the skill.If Claude Code does not open: Return to Open in and select Copy agent prompt. Paste the copied prompt into Claude Code, then review it before you submit it.
Use the Claude Code harness when you need Atlan MCP tools inside Claude Code. The harness connection and this selected-skill handoff are separate flows.
