# Create Skills

> Create one or more Skills from uploaded ZIP bundles.

Use `skill__create` after uploading each Skill bundle and creating a File
artifact for it.

* Required input: `skills`, an array with at most 100 items.
* Required per item: `name`, `workspace_id`, and `bundle_file_id`.
* Optional per item: `display_name`, `description`, `project_id`, and `source_id`.
* Optional common inputs: `session_id` and Gateway's `rationale`.
* Returns: one status slot per input Skill.
* Effect: write; not idempotent.

Do not base64-encode a bundle into the tool call. Reserve an upload with
`file__request_upload`, upload the ZIP, create the File artifact, and pass its
`file_...` handle as `bundle_file_id`.

Retry only failed items. Reusing a Skill name in the same workspace can append
a version; set `source_id` when distinct Skills need stable identities.
