# Trace attribution

Attribution fields connect execution evidence to agents, sessions, skills, and
versions. The available relationship depends on which identifiers the source
provided.

## Read attribution safely

* Treat explicit identifiers as evidence.
* Treat missing identifiers as unknown.
* Confirm the identifier resolves within the intended workspace.
* Do not infer a skill version from its display name.
