# registry daemon

> Run or inspect the background sync daemon

Run or inspect the background sync daemon.

## Commands

### start

Start the background sync daemon.

**Usage**

```text theme={null}
registry daemon start [options]
```

### stop

Stop the background sync daemon.

**Usage**

```text theme={null}
registry daemon stop [options]
```

### restart

Restart the background sync daemon.

**Usage**

```text theme={null}
registry daemon restart [options]
```

### status

Show the current status of the background sync daemon.

**Usage**

```text theme={null}
registry daemon status [options]
```

### autostart

Configure the daemon to start automatically on login.

**Usage**

```text theme={null}
registry daemon autostart [options]
```

### log

Show the daemon's recent log output.

**Usage**

```text theme={null}
registry daemon log [options]
```

### job

Inspect or manage a specific background job.

**Usage**

```text theme={null}
registry daemon job [options]
```

### run

Run a background job immediately inside the daemon.

**Usage**

```text theme={null}
registry daemon run [options]
```

## Examples

```bash theme={null}
# Check daemon status
registry daemon status

# Start the daemon
registry daemon start

# View daemon logs
registry daemon log
```

## Output and behavior

The background sync daemon runs continuous reconciliation jobs. `daemon start` launches it and `daemon status` reports health. `daemon log` and `daemon job` help with diagnostics.
