# Verify ingestion

> Confirm that trace data reached the intended Agent Registry scope.

# Verify trace ingestion

A successful exporter or API response confirms that one step completed. Verify
the stored result separately.

## Verification flow

1. Record a synthetic trace with known identifiers and timestamps.
2. Confirm the destination account and workspace.
3. Read or find the matching trace in Agent Registry.
4. Compare its identifiers, timestamps, and attribution.
5. Remove or retain the synthetic record according to the approved test policy.
