# List artifact kinds

> Discover artifact kinds available to the caller.

# `registry__list_kinds`

List the artifact kinds available in the caller's account.

* Inputs: optional `scope`: `installed` (default) or `all`.
* Returns: each kind, its owning extension, and its description.
* Effect: read only.

Kinds vary by deployment and installed extensions. List them before filtering
search or creating an artifact of an unfamiliar kind.
