# Diagnose missing attribution

> Check why a trace is not associated with the expected artifact.

# Diagnose missing attribution

1. Confirm the trace exists in the intended account and workspace.
2. Confirm its agent and session identifiers.
3. Inspect the skill and version fields sent by the source.
4. Confirm those identifiers resolve to visible registry artifacts.
5. Record any missing relationship as unknown.

Do not infer attribution from names, timing, or the development tool alone.
