Answer general specification or `brain` command questions from the project's own docs, and use these docs only for Atlan-specific setup such as the Atlan adapter, sign-in and workspaces. # Desktop 0.9.6 > The desktop app now notifies you when a Claude Code or Codex session you started from Atlan ends while Atlan is in the background. An agent's page gains a Library tab, and MCP usage and activity read more clearly. Released 8 October 2026 · Desktop 0.9.6. ## Features ### Notifications when an agent finishes When a Claude Code or Codex session you started from Atlan finishes or fails and no screen in Atlan is showing it, the desktop app now sends a system notification. It does so only while Atlan's window is hidden or another app has focus. You can switch away while an agent works and still know when it is done. ### Library tab on an agent An agent's page now has a Library tab. It collects the pages, documents, and files the agent makes, with the Library's search and filters. ## Improvements * **Apps:** A studio that shares its breadcrumb trail now shows it in Atlan's toolbar. * **Brain:** Home, Skills, Agents, and Traces now share one page layout, with each page's actions beside its heading. * **Brain:** In the workspace picker, the arrow keys now move from the search into the list, and Enter picks the first match. * **Desktop app:** In the rail, **Usage** is now **Reports** and **Marketplace** is now **Store**; the account menu's Marketplace is now **Integrations**. * **Desktop app:** You can now pin Evals and installed apps to the rail from the rail's ⋯ menu, and right-click one to unpin it. * **Desktop app:** With the sidenav hidden, pointing at an item in the rail now shows that section's navigation over the page. * **Desktop app:** Screens now start loading their data as you open them, and the app loads the other rail destinations while it is idle. * **Desktop app:** Lists and summaries on screens you visited recently now show their last data as they open, even after a restart, then refresh. * **Desktop app:** The app now loads less at startup: dialogs, and the navigation of sections you are not in, load after the first screen. * **Desktop app:** MCP usage, MCP activity, the Library, and Brain home now draw their first screenful first and the rest as you scroll. * **Desktop app:** While another app is in front, Atlan now pauses most background refreshes, and it refreshes when you come back. * **Desktop app:** The account menu now has a Changelog item, and Release notes on an update open the changelog on platform.atlan.com. * **Desktop app:** Pointing at your account button in the rail now shows which organization you are in. * **Download page:** The download page now shows a version's notes from this changelog, once the changelog lists it, instead of commit titles. * **Evals:** In the scorer editor, prompt variables now show as pills, with each variable's meaning in a tooltip. * **Integrations:** Each tool on a server's Tools tab now shows what it does and its inputs, and expands to describe each input. * **Integrations:** A server's Tools tab now says what its last update added, changed, and removed, and marks those tools New or Changed. * **Integrations:** When a refresh finds tools Atlan can't catalogue, a warning now names them. * **Integrations:** A server's Activity tab now shows the last week's calls, failure rate, and average time, linking to its calls in MCP activity. * **MCP activity:** A call's details now show About this tool, with what the tool does and its inputs, and This session, with nearby calls. * **MCP activity:** A call's time now reads as its total and the part Atlan added, with what each part covers on hover. * **MCP activity:** A call's details now lead with the tool, its server, and the outcome, and fold the IDs and raw record away. * **MCP activity:** The Tools registered tile is now Tool updates, counting changes to servers' tool lists in the period. * **MCP usage:** The summary now has a Response time card: the typical call, split into time in the MCP servers and time Atlan added. * **Reports:** Reports and the Usage tabs on skills and agents now pick the time range from preset ranges instead of a calendar. * **Store:** Integrations and Apps now share one toolbar with All and Installed tabs, and each integration or app opens as its own page. ## Fixes * **Agents:** Fixed editing a released agent failing even for a rename; the dialog now saves only the fields you changed. * **Billing:** Fixed a failed checkout leaving no way to continue the purchase; Billing now offers Retry Checkout. * **Billing:** Fixed a checkout return in another organization leaving you to switch by hand; **Open Billing for this organization** now switches for you. * **Brain:** Fixed the workspace picker's list scrolling its search box and footer out of view. * **Brain:** Fixed a workspace's members dialog letting an admin archive a workspace that still holds artifacts. * **Desktop app:** Fixed people showing without their names across the app when your own profile could not be read. * **Desktop app:** Fixed the rail's selected item being hard to see in dark mode, and your account button not showing as selected in Settings. * **Evals:** Fixed scorers, datasets, and experiments showing user ids instead of people's names. * **Evals:** Fixed closed dropdowns on the scorer bench showing raw values instead of readable labels. * **Evals:** Fixed the scorer test bench growing taller than the window and pushing its controls out of view. * **Integrations:** Fixed a failed connection check running again as soon as you reopen a server; the result now holds for 15 seconds. * **Integrations:** Fixed a server's Activity history counting a settings change after a tools refresh as another tools update. * **Settings:** Fixed one settings page that fails to show blanking all of Settings; that page now says so and offers to try again. * **Traces:** Fixed a turn that only called tools showing as Response content not stored. * Bug fixes and design improvements.
