> ## Agent Instructions
> To act on Atlan objects, use the Atlan MCP server at https://api.atlan.com/mcp or the SDK. To install or publish skills from a terminal, use the `brain` CLI; `brain --map json` prints its command map. The `atlanai` CLI is deprecated. Run a read-only identity check before any write.
> The docs MCP server at /mcp searches these docs only. It cannot read or change Atlan objects.
> SDK packages: Python `atlanai` (PyPI) and TypeScript `@atlanai/sdk` (npm). Show Python first, then TypeScript.
> These docs cover Atlan Agent Registry, Atlan's hosted product. The open-source agent registry specification and its CLI (`brain`) are documented, released and maintained in their own repository; /open-source on this site links to it. Answer general specification or `brain` command questions from the project's own docs, and use these docs only for Atlan-specific setup such as the Atlan adapter, sign-in and workspaces.

# Desktop 0.9.5

> Running a skill from its page moves into a new agent bar in the desktop app, which replaces the skill page's Try this skill card. The app also has a new title band and module rail.

Released 6 October 2026 · Desktop 0.9.5.

## Features

### The agent bar

The desktop app has a new agent bar, which replaces the **Try this skill** card
on a skill's page. On a skill's page, pick an installed Claude Code or Codex
under **Run on this computer** to run the skill there and follow the run in the
bar. A chat can be minimised.

### The title band and module rail

The desktop app has a new layout, with a title band across the top and a rail of
modules down the left. The title band holds **Back**, **Forward**, and **Hide
sidenav** (⌘B), then the page's breadcrumb and buttons, then **New**. From
**New** you can create a skill, an agent, or a workspace in the workspace you
have open, or import skills from this Mac. Changed in Desktop 0.9.6.

The rail lists **Brain**, **Library**, **Evals**, and a tile for each installed
app. At its foot are **Usage** for admins, **Marketplace**, and your account
menu. Each module's navigation sits beside the page, and Library's page takes
the full width. Changed in Desktop 0.9.6.

The Brain's navigation opens with a workspace switcher in place of the sidebar's
**Workspaces** list. It sets the scope for **Home**, **Skills**, the other
kinds, and **Agents** below it; **Traces** lists your own sessions. **Traces**
is a new page listing your recent agent sessions. The Marketplace's navigation
lists **Integrations** and **Apps**, then what's **Installed**, which you can
search. Changed in Desktop 0.9.6.

The old sidebar's **Pinned** section is gone, and with it **Pin to sidebar** and
**Unpin from sidebar** on skill and agent rows. So are its **More** menu and
**Edit sidenav** dialog, the workspace list's **Show all** rows, and the help
menu beside your account. **Docs** and **Send feedback** stay in your account
menu. Changed in Desktop 0.9.6.
