# Desktop 0.4.0

> Skills have new releases and workspaces a new release policy, so people get the revision you release, not your latest edit.

Released 28 September 2026 · Desktop 0.4.0.

## Features

### Releases for skills

A skill has a new Releases tab. It shows what ships now, the changes not yet
released, and every past release. Each channel serves a skill's current release,
not its newest revision, so an edit no longer changes what people get until you
release it.

To release, choose **Prepare release** and pick a Compatible improvement, a Fix,
or a Breaking change. The dialog lists the files that changed and takes optional
notes. A release can be withdrawn later.

### Release policy for workspaces

Each workspace has a new release policy. Choose Automatic or Manual publishing,
and whether to Require security checks. Under Manual publishing, a workspace
admin approves a revision that is awaiting review. The policy shows where each
setting comes from, and can be reset to the defaults.

  and More menu.

with you, search, and open items in a panel.
