# Get started with Agent Registry

> Two lessons that take you from a blank shell to a registered agent you can build on.

Agent Registry is where agents are registered, sessions are recorded, and
traces are stored. These two lessons walk you through the foundation: connect
to the Registry and register your first agent.

## What you need

* An Atlan account with API access
* A shell with `curl` or Node.js available
* About 15 minutes
