# User management

> View organization members, manage invitations, and keep access current.

Open **Settings**, then select **Members** under **Organization**. This page is
the organization directory: it shows each person's email, status, and
organization role.

## Find a member

Use **Search members** to search by name or email. Use **All members** to filter
the directory by role.

The directory includes active people and people who have been invited but have
not joined yet. Open **Pending invitations** when you need to resend or revoke
an invitation.

## Manage a member

Open the action menu on a member's row to manage their account. Available
actions depend on your role and the member's current status.

Organization admins can archive a member. Archiving removes the person from the
active member list and ends their access. This is different from removing them
from one workspace.

  Check the person's workspace responsibilities before archiving them. Transfer
  any ownership or admin duties first.

## Organization access and workspace access

An organization role controls what a person can do across Northstar Labs. A
workspace role controls what they can do inside one workspace. Changing one
does not change the other.

For example, Aisha can be an **Org member** and a **Workspace admin** for
Product & Design at the same time.
